I'm trying to get all caught up on the photos I've taken this epic semester. I didn't have too much to post this time, but there are still a few sets I want to get up on Flickr before it's too late and all but forgotten. So far, I have two up. New Season, New USuMBS Banner

Although I loved my previous USuMBS banner that has been up since the cold months of last spring, I am updating the website with a photo I had taken a few years ago, during my Winter Break trip to Taiwan.

USuMBS Blue

Today, I updated USuMBS.com to version 20090523. I finally moved away from the black and added some of the blue that makes up my USuMBS logo. I have also made a few additions and refinements throughout. I hadn't planned on this, but now that I've got the site back online (hosting it on my own server space this time), it was a good time for some cleaning up.

Planning the Move to Wordpress for USuMBS.com

I am in the process of moving stuff over to Wordpress.org's blogging engine. Blogger just isn't cutting it anymore.

Here are some fun facts I discovered yesterday:

My physics class is taught by an ECE guy.
My ECE circuits class is taught by a physics guy.
My CS Java class is taught by a math guy.
My MAE lab class is taught by a MAE woman.
My Stats class is taught by a new guy who is just as boring as the previous older guy.

End of Year 2008 Reflection

With the holiday season fast approaching and my fall term at National Grid coming to an end, I feel as if I haven't used my time at home to its fullest potential; there never seems to be enough time. A review of some of the things I have accomplished this semester so far:

A. PHOTOGRAPHY
1. Purchased a Sigma 30mm f/1.4.
2. Attended PhotoPlus Expo 2008.
3. Updated my Nikon Lens Lists for Lenses and Camera Bodies.
4. Photo Trip to AMNH twice.
5. Photo Trip to Stony Brook & Avalon Nature Preserve.
6. Photo Trip to Stony Brook & Port Jefferson.

B. WEBSITE & ONLINE PRESENCE
1. Refreshed USuMBS.com and cleaned up Google Adsense and Analytics.
2. Blog: Unnamed Project.

C. GIZMOS, GADGETS & STUFF
1. Apple iPhone 3G.
2. Drobo FW 800 and two 1 TB drives.
3. Crumpler "Considerable Embarrassment" Laptop Bag.
4. Essentially replacing the guts of my MBP via AppleCare.
5. Apple Mobile Me and iMac AppleCare.

D. PERSONAL GROWTH

2. New-found appreciation for Long Island.

Partial Integration, of the Non-Math Variety

I finally was able to successfully bring the blog into the USuMBS template. I aim to finish the details of it soon. Maybe even tonight, although I should really be studying.
