Apartment Lease Starts Today
My apartment lease in Ithaca starts today. I should go up there and visit sometime this summer.
Museum of the Earth
Yesterday, I went with a few residents of the Cook House to the Museum of the Earth (indirectly affiliated with Cornell University). While it wasn't much compared to the Natural History Museum in New York City, it was quaint and was still very interesting to see. We had our own tour guide as well, which definitely put everything into perspective. This was perhaps the worst weekend for such an event, but where there's a will, there's a way. And I managed to squeeze it in. Lunch was at Glenwood Pines, a small burger place that represents Ithaca pretty well.
Here are a few photos. A Flickr set is due up soon.

Damn, It's Cold
I wish this were a joke... This was last night's temperature. It is currently -1 as I write this in the morning. On the bright side, at least it can only get warmer from here on throughout the day.On another note, I got myself a toy computer, a netbook, the Lenovo S10. Turns out, a few other guys in the office have netbooks too. One also has the Lenovo S10 and another has the Samsung NC10.
The S10 is a 10" computer running Windows XP. I intend to use it with a maximized version of Google Chrome browser and nothing more.
Pretty cool.
Boating on Cayuga Lake
I was reluctant to get myself wet, but once I fell in when I was going from the boat to tube(somehow), I no longer cared and enjoyed it. I fell in a second time while we were tubing (again, somehow). I was soaked. And I forgot what it was like to have to actually have to swim; it was not as pleasant an experience as the rest of today's little excursion.
P.S. Prior to this, we took a trip to the local McDonald's for a celebratory McFlurry, milkshake, and sundae. It was awesome.
P.P.S. I misplaced my old-time Nike cap amid the fun and only realized it was missing one the way back in the "Engineering Car" (i.e. Taylor's car). I miss it already, but I will probably miss the Cornell and Ithaca even more.
