Barbecue with neighbors, cousins and Peter and Jan.It seems to me nearly all Americans are so out of touch with what Independence Day actually means. I feel it may even be somewhat insulting to simply stay home, barbecue and throw some fireworks. How did this replace the true nature and meaning behind the holiday?
